African economies depend heavily on rain-fed agriculture and population majority depend on wood as fuel. Several countries are now investing in hydropower which also depend on water availability and sensitive to climate change.
By facilitating access to knowledge, sharing best practices, generating new information, and encourage participation and involvement of all stakeholders, the Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) work to promote climate smart investments in infrastructure of key economic sectors of water, energy agriculture and trade to ensure social and economic development in Africa.
